shut up george.

get on skype!

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

the 1st step is to subtract 2 from both sides this will give \[\frac{5}{12} x = \frac{17}{4} - 2\] which can be written as \[\frac{5}{12} x = \frac{9}{4}\] step 2 multiply both sides by 12 step 3 divide both sides by 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is 15/16 the answer? that's what I got

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

nope.... not what I got... you need (9/4) * 12 = then divide the answer by 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Gotcha.
