Determine the end behavior of the function: f(x) = 2x^4 + 3x^3 + 5x^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

leading coefficient is positive, degree is even it goes up at both ends

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So what would the answer be? x -> ∞ , y -> ∞ x -> -∞, y -> ∞ ? It needs to be in that form.

@satellite73 Can you further explain please?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Since it's even polynomial with positive leading coefficient, When x -> ± ∞, y --> +∞

Great thank you! @Chlorophyll

Therefore, in this case the end behavior always go up both ends ( just repeat what satellite73 has stated above )
