OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do u find the slope

myininaya (myininaya):

What are you given to find the slope?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

of a Line Ryt ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

o.O

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(1,-4) _(-4,2)

myininaya (myininaya):

If given two points on a line, then use the slope formula: \[m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}\]

OpenStudy (hba):

Well you can check my tutorial http://openstudy.com/study#/updates/50aa93b5e4b06b5e493312f5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it dont help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?????????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A slope is the change in Y over the change in X. In other words, the incline or decline of a line. In this case, the line suggested by these points has a slope of (8+5), the change in Y divided by (-4+5), the change in X 13/1 = 13

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hope that helps

OpenStudy (anonymous):

kinda

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That gives you slope. To remember that it's "rise over run." (-5-8)/(-4+3)...which would be 13/1...so that's up 13 units and to the right 1.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

does it help now

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

What don't you understand about slope?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which numbers go to what

OpenStudy (anonymous):

skull can u fan me cuz i need to message u

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

OK

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thnks
