Could anyone help me with a Spanish 2 final test?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'll give You my blessings. Isn't there a more specific request?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i could start with the first question that I dont understand. Write a paragraph in the preterit explaining what happened yesterday or last week. Write at least 8 sentences in correct Spanish.

OpenStudy (tracyy):

I can't do this for you, but I will guide you through it. The preterit is used for things that have happened one time and are done and over with. It is asking that you write 8 sentences using this. You can start by saying something like, "I woke up at 8 a.m. yesterday." ... "Then I brushed my teeth and combed my hair." ... and talk about something that happened that morning, etc. Be creative!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if I write a paragraph would you write it in preterit?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@tracyy

OpenStudy (tracyy):

You could write it, and I can correct it. But are you familiar with the preterit form?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no. well kinda. but not enough to write a paragraph. I am not good at spanish at all!

OpenStudy (tracyy):

It's okay! Conjugating to the preterit form is very easy. Typically, you change the ending to the opposite verb. It is explained further here: http://www.studyspanish.com/lessons/pret1.htm

The webpage that tracyy posted is very useful for conjugating regular verbs into the past tense. If you remember, last week, I posted a guide, to help you understand how to conjugate spanish verbs, into the past tense. I also mentioned some spanish verbs that conjugate irregularly, in the past tense. What that means is that some verbs don't conjugate in the same way as most other verbs. If you'd like to look back on that old post, you can see the list of irregular verbs that I mentioned. If you'd like for me to show you how to conjugate an irregular verb, I can do that for you.
