what is an absolute value inequality that has 6 and -10 as two of it's soloutions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How about \(|x| > 6\)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks so much for your help but i dont think that is it :( this is so frustrating!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(|x|\ge6\) rather... and yes it works. There isn't one unique answer... notice it asks for *an* absolute value inequality.

What oldrin said is correct unless you made a typo and actually mean an absolute value EQUALITY in which case you could find the middle point between -10 and 6 which is -2 (8 units away from each) So you do |x+2|=8

In see it now!! Thank you so much!!! You are a lifesaver!(:
