looks like the numerator is 3 more than the old one, so \(\frac{x+3}{y}\) might work

on the other hand it might not, because no one says \(x=14\) and \(y=3\) it could be the case that \(x=28\) and \(y=6\) so i am not really sure what the question is asking you are given a number \(\frac{17}{3}\) so you know exactly what it is
