17. Give the name that best describes the parallelogram, and find the measures of the numbered angles. The diagram is not drawn to scale.

OpenStudy (nottim):

What do you mean "name"?

OpenStudy (nottim):

Also, since it is a "parallelogram", you can determine at least 1 angle right off the bat

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I already know that's it's a rhombus (that's what they mean by the name), and the other angles are 31 degrees. (got the answer from someone) but, I wanted to know how to get to that answer.

OpenStudy (nottim):

31? I thought that would 32

OpenStudy (nottim):

First, let's breakthe rhombus up into 2 identical triangles

OpenStudy (nottim):

what are the total angles in a triangle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

180. That's why I was confused, because I was told multiple times it was 31.

OpenStudy (nottim):

Really?

OpenStudy (nottim):

Who?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First by one of my teachers (During the review), and then by a friend.

OpenStudy (nottim):

Did they show you how they got that result step by step?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nope. But I think I'm just going to go with 32, because that's the only logical answer. Thank you though! Do you think you can help me with one more question?

OpenStudy (nottim):

Post another question in the "Ask a question" thing. Oh, and yu got your other angles right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Kay, and yeah, I did.
