Please please help me! :((
The first step would be to make a diag.
|dw:1357883876328:dw|
Now use the pythagoras theorem.
does it matter which place the numbers are used?
Yes it does.
Now use Pythagorean theorem \(\LARGE{(a)^2+(b)^2=(h)^2}\) put the values \((a)^2+(9)^2=(36)^2\) \(a=\sqrt{(36)^2-(9)^2}=?\)
Can u solve it for \(a\) ?
I should be able to now. One second.. Thanks so much for the help!
yw :)
Actually the Pythagoras theorem is, (Hypotenuse )^2=(perpendicular)^2+(Base)^2
wait...
yup but i let her understand the Pythagorean theorem according to her question @hba :)
I know that @jiteshmeghwal9 :) I was just telling :)
Ohh! ok sorry :P
do you guys know anywhere on the web that is a good place to learn and practice basic and intermediate geometry ?
Well you can take our help here and Watch my tutorial on plane geo http://openstudy.com/study#/updates/50ed3307e4b07cd2b64930db
I appreciate it once again. Thanks so much! (:
