OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

Perimeter of the triangle = perimeter of the square Add up the sides of the triangle and set equal to the sum of the (4) sides of the square Solve for x, then use x to find the side of the square.

plz just give me this one my head is hearting from 100 qestons

The picture is not drawn to scale, it would appear :-)

plz give answer im down with a massive headic from 100 ?'s

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

\[16 + (4x -3) + 3x\] is the perimeter of the triangle \[2x + 2x + 2x + 2x\] is the perimeter of the square Set them equal to each other: \[16 + (4x -3) + 3x = 2x+2x+2x+2x\] \[13 + 7x = 8x\] \[13 + 7x - 7x = 8x - 7x\] \[13 = x\] Now you find the side of the square.
