What is a counterexample for the conjecture? Conjecture: Any number that is divisible by 2 is also divisible by 4.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know this one

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Two is divisible by 2 but 2 is not divisible by 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok that's not an answer choice

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Well good grief. Perhaps 6 or 10 or 14 or 18 or 22 or 26 ...is.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

32 12 40 18 I think 32 can be divided by both. And 12 too.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4 cant go into 18? Thats what I have to find? A number it cant go into?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

4 goes into 18 but not evenly. I mean, if you divide 18 by 4, there is a remainder.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That must be it. They are the only choices i have. and 32,12,and 40 can be divided by both!

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Yep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you

OpenStudy (mertsj):
