"Write an equation in point-slope form of the line through the given points. Then write the equation in slope-intercept form."
#11. (4,0), (-2,1)
#12. (-3,-2), (5,3)
#13. (-5, 1), (3,4)
And thats all it gives you. I know the formulas.
POint-slope form: \[y- y _{1}= m (x-x _{1})\] Insert the points you need to use, but first find slope using: \[m= \frac{ y _{2}-y _{1} }{ x _{2}-x _{1} }\]
use formula m= y2-y1/x2-x1
Slope-Intercept: y=mx+b Point-Slope: y-y1=m(x-x1) Slope: m=y2-y1/x2-x1
Ok, for the first one, plug in 4 as x1, and 0 as y1
Ive done that 100000000 times and every time I do, someone tells me Im wrong and Ive been working on the same problem for 2 hours and Im so frustrated. D:
Make sure you don't switch the order when entering your points. In the first problem, if you use x1=4, then y1 has to be 0 and y2 has to be 1.
What.

11. slope is 1-0/-2-4. slope is -1/6
idk. ill just not do it because i have no flipping clue what I'm doing and i really don't care anymore.
You will get it. Remember the formula, plug in. Take a step back and take a breather.....It will be alright :O) Don't let this frustrate you....It's only numbers.
