A chloroplast has stopped producing ATP and NADPH. Which of the following is most likely causing this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A.The chloroplast has used up its supply of chlorophyll molecules. B.Electrons have stopped moving through the electron transport chain. C.The sun has risen and the chloroplast now can make more chlorophyll. D.Too much carbon dioxide (CO2) has started moving into the chloroplast.

@aaronq i promise this is the last one for me today!

OpenStudy (aaronq):

in photosynthesis, ATP and NADPH products of which reaction/process?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and i think its B.

OpenStudy (aaronq):

you're right, but why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it's B. because the electrons' final product is NADPH. Also, ATP is produced by the Chemiosis through ATP Synthase. The ATP synthase works due to the Hydrogen gradient. The H+ gradient is formed because the H+ are being moved to the lumen of the thylakoid membrane with the released energy of electrons. So am I Right?? @aaronq

OpenStudy (aaronq):

well done. i know you mean electron transport chain product not electrons product, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol umm right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well thanks for all your help n if you need any help toward the math section im all ears! I'm a math geek when it comes to math like you are in biology! (lol) @aaronq

OpenStudy (aaronq):

thanks !
