"Judge, O you gods, how dearly Caesar loved him! This was the most unkindest cut of all; For when the noble Caesar saw him stab, Ingratitude, more strong than traitors' arms, Quite vanquish'd him: then burst his mighty heart" "I will not do them wrong; I rather choose To wrong the dead, to wrong myself and you, Than I will wrong such honorable men." "Here is the will, and under Caesar's seal. To every Roman citizen he gives, To every several man, seventy-five drachmas."

Which speech was more persuasive? Brutus' speech is much more persuasive, in my opinion. In this passage from the Third act of the play, Brutus gives his speech on Caesar's death and Antony replies with his most famous line of the play, " Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears;" However, while Antony also gives a quite decent speech he is simply retorting what Brutus has previously said. Brutus was in a position of power and those listening to his speech were looking up to him. He embraced and emphasized his love for Rome over his friend, Caesar and used that to appeal to logos as he came up with a logical reason for his death. You can see this demonstrated in this line here, " If then that friend demand why Brutus rose against Caesar, this is my answer: --Not that I loved Caesar less, but that I loved Rome more." He pulled a classic politician move and responded to the negativity with the love for his empire. The responses from the listeners are one of the most evident sources for his successful persuasion. They shout out, " Live, Brutus! live, live! Bring him with triumph home unto his house.Give him a statue with his ancestors. Let him be Caesar!" Which shows that he greatly got out to his audience.
At the same time, Antony did come back with a very strong argument as well and ended up winning the argument.
thank u !!
