please help me!!! Describe the solutions to the quadratic equation x^2+6x+9=0 a. 1 rational (double) root b. 2 rational roots c. 2 irrational roots d. 2 complex roots

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Are you familiar with the quadratic formula?

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

The part of the quadratic formula in the radical, b^2 - 4ac, tells you what type of solution you get.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in simpler form the equation would look like (x+3) (x+3) or (x+3)^2. using b^2-4ac you will get 0. Answer I would say is A.
