OpenStudy (anonymous):

i need it explained how they got that answer can u help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

???? what is what

OpenStudy (mertsj):

angles 11 and 13 are alternate exterior angles.

OpenStudy (yrelhan4):

what do you need help with? i mean this is a theorem.. do you need the proof?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i need it explain how they got the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for corrections

OpenStudy (yrelhan4):

do you know what corresponding angles are?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

If two parallel lines are cut by a transversal, then the alternate exterior angles are congruent.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (mertsj):

And the converse is also true. If two lines are cut by a transversal and the alternate exterior angles are congruent, then the lines are parallel.

OpenStudy (yrelhan4):

look. angle 11 and angle15 are equal as they are corresponding. also angle15 and angle 13 are equal as they are vertically opposite. so can imply angle11 and angle13 are equal.. which is what the theorem says!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thnks @yrelhan4

OpenStudy (mertsj):

So choose the second answer.

OpenStudy (yrelhan4):

:)

and thnks @Mertsj
