Power of a power: To raise a power to a power, multiply the exponents. \[(b^4) ^6 \times (b^2)^4\]So you'll have: \[b ^{24} \times b ^{8}\]Product of powers: Just add the exponents. \[b^{32}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its not 2b^32. When multiplying exponentss with like bases, you ONLY add the exponents. So b^32
