I don't understand what a paradox is!
a statement or proposition that seems self-contradictory or absurd but in reality expresses a possible truth.
Example: Don't go near the water until you've learned how to swim; dont go to that restaurant, its always crowded
If a person says they always lie, is that a truth or a lie???...
@perfectionist A paradox is self-contradictory to each other. So what ever it states can't be proven true or false. One good example is What comes first the chicken or the egg? This is a paradox since it's impossible to know.
A clearer paradox is "you have to be cruel to be kind." It seems like an absurd statement, but in reality expresses a truth that we all understand. Don't hesitate to call your teacher--we are here to help!
