pls. help me

@jim_thompson5910 can you help me??

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

what kind of line is line m

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont know too

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

look up all the geometry terms and definitions for circles in your textbook

OpenStudy (anonymous):

our textbook doesn't have the definitions

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

check out this page http://www.sparknotes.com/math/geometry1/circles/section3.rhtml

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jim_thompson5910 is number 1 secant?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

that is correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This will help. http://properties-of-circles.blogspot.com/ Anyhow, I can only answer few. I'm not sure with some. m is a secant line n is a tangent line angle 1 is a central angle angle 2 is an inscribed angle /not that sure angle 3 is an angle formed by secant and tangent lines C is the center of the circle A is a point on the circle /not sure Segment AB is a diameter Segment BC is a radius Segment BD is a chord E is the intersection of tangent and secant lines /don't know if there's a term for that angle B is an angle in a semicircle (it is 90 degrees) D is point of tangency Segment AC is radius angle 4 is an inscribed angle /not that sure though

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jim_thompson5910 can you check my answers?? 1. secant 2.tangent 3.central angle 4.inscribed angle 5.angle formed by a secant and a tangent 6.central angle 7.tangent 8.diameter 9.radius 10.secant 11.point of tangency 12.inscribed angle 13.tangent 14.radius 15.inscribed angle

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

for #6, C is a point, not an angle

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

# 7 is incorrect

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

# 10 is incorrect

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

# 11 is incorrect

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

# 13 would be the point of tangency

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jim_thompson5910 this is my last question is 4 inscribed angle? is 7 point on the circle? is 11 intersection of tangent and secant lines? is 12 angle in a semicircle? is 15 inscribed angle?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

is 4 inscribed angle? yes

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

for #7, that's all we can say really, so yes I guess you could also say that point A is one point of the intersection of the secant line and the circle

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

is 11 intersection of tangent and secant lines? yes

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

you already did 12 and your original answer is correct

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

same with #15, your original answer for that is correct
