OpenStudy (anonymous):

Use the Rational Zeros Theorem to write a list of all possible rational zeros of the function. f(x) = 2x3 + 8x2 + 7x - 8 A. Yes B. No

OpenStudy (zehanz):

The possible answers do not make sense to me. RZT: All possible numbers of the form c/d, where c and d are integers. c must divide evenly into the constant term -8. d must divide evenly into the leading coefficient 2.

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

p is a factor of 8 and q is a factor of 2 p can be +-1, +-2, +-4, +-8 q can be +-1, +-2 All possibilities are all combinations of p/q

OpenStudy (raden):

this, cant be factored http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=2x^3%2B8x^2%2B7x-8%3D0

OpenStudy (zehanz):

Using WA instead of the RZT seems not a good idea to me. It is required to give a list of POSSIBLE rational zeroes. Whether or not the formula can be factored is irrelevant.
