What would happen in an ecosystem without herbivores? The populations of secondary consumers would decrease. The populations of primary producers would decrease. The populations of secondary consumers would increase. The populations of primary consumers would increase.

Herbivores are Primary Consumers. And the ones that eat them are called Secondary Consumers. So, if there were no herbivores (Primary Consumers), do you have an idea on what would happen to the ones who eat them (Secondary Consumers)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh wow I feel like an Idiot. Thanks.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Don't worry about it. If you had known about the whole Primary Consumer/ Secondary Consumer thing, you could have figured it out just fine. Just making sure we're on the same page: If there were no PRIMARY consumers (herbivores), SECONDARY consumer population would go down, because they would have nothing to eat.

Yeah. I got it. Thanks for the help. Its been a slow day for me.

It's no problem.
