If the base of a 45-45-90/isosceles triangle is 5.7 units and the sides are 4 units, how do I find the height from the base?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

edit: ...and the remaining two sides are 4 units...

OpenStudy (mertsj):

The leg is the height because the height is the perpendicular distance from a side to the opposite vertex.

So if I were to fine the area, it would be 8 because a=(4*4)/2=8?
