Add 50 mL of 20% Glucose Solution and 50 mL of Water to the second Beaker. How can you tell how many parts water.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@campbell_st Can Yuh Help me.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

if you look at the glucose solution 20% of 50 mL is 10mL then add the water so you have 100 mL and 10mL is glucose solution so how many ml of water in the 100mL

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did you get 100 mL

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh because 50mL of glucose and 50 mL of water?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it10 ml Of water.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@campbell_st

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

its 10 mL or glucose in 100mL so there is 90mL of water.... given the glucose mix is 20% glucose and 80% water to there are 9 parts of water to each part of glucose

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did you come up with 80% water.can you explain in baby terms im confused.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

in the 50ml containing the glucose solution its says its 20% glucose... so that means that 80% has to be water... or 40mL is water...
