simplify 2x^2+7x+3/x^2-2x-15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well, you can put the 7x and 2x together. then you have \[2x^2 +5x + \frac{3}{\sqrt(x^2)} -15\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i accidentally added a square root to the denominator of 3/x^2. it shouldn't be there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well it says to factor the top and bottom but i dont get how to factor the top...

you can look at this : http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=factor+%282x^2%2B5x%2B3%2Fx^2-15%29 i tried to figure out how they factored it, but i'm a bit confused as well. I understand that they multiplied every term by (x^2/x^2), but i'm confused on how they factored the top.
