these are a bit tricky. The first thing to do is read the theorem. What facts do they want to show?

The segment joining the midpoints of two sides of a triangle is parallel to the third side and half its length.

But what does that mean? I don't understand the theorem itself...

yes. there are two things the theorem says: 1) segment is parallel to the 3rd side 2) 1/2 its length those are the facts you have to prove. So those 2 facts should come at the end of the proof
