my prof mentioned something like "hyperbolic something something"...(hard to grasp native polish speakers sometimes)...did i give you a clue? cause i don't know what's going on.

ok, then maybe they mean hyperbolic cosine we would say cosh http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperbolic_cosine
