Could anyone tell me the equations and the formulas in the single variable calculus and the Maxwell 's equations . Please help me guys . Thanks .

Maxwell's equations are not single variable. EM fields depend on four variables -- three coordinates and time. You can see them here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maxwell%27s_equations#Conventional_formulation_in_SI_units in differential and integral form but they are expressed using vector calculus because of the four variable dependence. Only if problems have inherent symmetry in them, for example, if the E field cannot be a function of more than one variable, will these equations reduce to a function of one space variable.
