Polynomial Functions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I need to find the rational zeroes for this polynomial: \[f(x)= x ^{3}-2x ^{2}-13x-10\] I got \[\pm10, \pm5, \pm1, \pm2\] for possible answers..

geerky42 (geerky42):

Set x³−2x²−13x−10 to be equal to 0. Plug in your possible answers and solve it. Whatever that is true is one of your answer. I know it takes time, but that I would do if I were you.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

SO basically you have to plug in ALL of the values? Like all 8 of em?

geerky42 (geerky42):

Yeah. I'm pretty sure there is a shortcut for this, but I cannot remember, sorry.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok.. thanks
