Simplify: negative nine raised to the tenth power times negative nine raised to the negative third power negative nine raised to the thirteenth power nine raised to the seventh power nine raised to the negative thirtieth power negative nine raised to the seventh power

(-9)^10 x (-9)^-3 if you have the same base (in this case -9) then you will just add the exponents therefore it equals (-9)^7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in which expression should the exponents be subtracted? the quantity six raised to the tenth power raised to the negative seventh power two raised to the ninth power divided by five raised to the ninth power the quantity negative one-half raised to the eleventh power times the quantity negative one-half raised to the fourth power three raised to the eighth power divided by three raised to the fifth power

can you help me with this too?

@privetek

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in the first one you would have to multiply the exponents because its (x^a)^b in the third one you would add the exponents in the 2nd and 4th one you would subtract the exponents because it's a division problem. -> x^a/x^b = a-b

opps.. 2 isn't included because it has different bases however 4 has 3 as a base so it's just 4.. sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its the last one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes
