Choose the polynomial that is written in standard form. xy^3 + 4x^5y + 10x^3 x^4y^2 + 4x^2y + 8x −9x^4y^2 + 4x^3y^5 + 10x^2 x^6y^3 + 4x^4y^8 + x^2

@rizwan_uet can u help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i m tryng

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x^4y^2 + 4x^2y + 8x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you know y??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not really :( im not good at this.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok then just have your answer good luck

OpenStudy (anonymous):

uhm okay. thanks i guess.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u explain

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a polynomial is in standard form if it is written in decending power of its variable

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay. so how did u get x^4y^2 + 4x^2y + 8x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you look to the powers of x then its is decreasing like x^4 x^2 and x^1 now if you look to the powers of y its also decreasing y^2 y^1 and y^0 thus the powers of both variables are in decending order therefore the polynomial is in standerd form

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thanks
