f(x)=sqrt 2x-5 find f (27)

OpenStudy (aravindg):

substitute x with 27 in f(x) .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

27

OpenStudy (aravindg):

try again?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(27)=sqr root (2(27)-5) Multiply 2 by the 27 inside the parentheses. f(27)=sqr root (2*27-5) Multiply 2 by 27 to get 54. f(27)=sqr root (54-5) Subtract 5 from 54 to get 49. f(27)=sqr root (49) Pull all perfect square roots out from under the radical. In this case, remove the 7 because it is a perfect square. f(27)=7

@AravindG is 7 correct?

OpenStudy (aravindg):
