Please help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i replied it just a moment before

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah i didnt get it so i re posted to get different help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@bookaholic do you know this one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm looking it over to see if I can solve it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Roh how did you solve it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think we have to break the exponents of 2^20 lets get togather and break the power

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2^20=1048576

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that the answer for a or B?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lolz i mean we have to break the power no need of just calculating this because we should figure out how many 2^3 is inside this figure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

niether and to get the number of bits youd multiply that by 2^3 or 8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Whattt

OpenStudy (anonymous):

10^-10 x 1000 100 = 10^3 so 10^-10 x 10^3 add exponents... 10^-7 m

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the number of bits in a megabyte is 8388608 buy Im not sure how to put that as a power of 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@PinkPanda what one it that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the first one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A ok do you ahve B yet?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ultraviolet rays is 0.000010 m 0.00000038<visible light<0.00000076

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok and do you have task 3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

one sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i gonna have to write this one out so hold on

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the number of MB in Bytes are : 2^16 . 2^4 and i am trying to find out how to make it based on 2^3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Model the population growth of chessvile with an exponential function (y=50,000 x 1.07^x. Use the function from the first step to find the population of chessville in 2011,2012,2013,2014 (53,500: 57,245: 61,252: 65,540). model the population decline of checkersville with an exponential function ( y= 70,000 x .96^x) Use the function from the third step to find the population of checkersville in 2011,2012,2013,2014 (67,200: 64,512: 61,932: 59,454) Compare the result from the second step and the fourth step. Determine when the population of chessville first exceeds that of chessville ( on January 1, 2014 the population of chessville is 65,540 and the population of checkersvile is 59,454. So the population of chessvill will exceed that of checkersville sometime during the year of 2013

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok that last thing you posted^ what one is that for???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@PinkPanda

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that the third task

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is for B on task 2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To find the number of megabytes in 1 gigabyte, divide the number of bytes in 1 gigabyte by the number of bytes in 1 megabyte (2^30/2^20 = 2^10 mb). to find the number of bits in 1 gigabyte, multiply the number of bytes in 1 gigabyte by the number if bits in 1 byte ( 2^30 x 2^3 = 2^33 bits).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What?????? Im so confused!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh wait I see how you did that ok i get it and that is for B?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes that is for 2b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok and then which one is for a and b on #3 that you did?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the really big message i did is for task 3 that one has no part a and b its just one q

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok thanks!
