OpenStudy (katielong):

use pythagoras? so side 3sqrt2 is the same as the opposite side, 3sqrt2 squared x 3sqrt2 squared... = y squared.. so square rout that answer = y, the same kind of applies for x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so is y 3√2 x √2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But im still a little confused on x? wouldn't you work backwards to find a squared + b squared ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or does x = 3?

OpenStudy (katielong):

do you know about pythagoras?

OpenStudy (katielong):

\[a ^{2}+b ^{2}=c ^{2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes.

OpenStudy (katielong):

i will draw your equation then... 2 mins...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I found y already. Im pretty sure its 3√2 x √2?
