Help!? Find the horizontal asymptote of the graph of y =3x^6 - 7x +10/8x^5 +9x +10 y = 0 y = 6/5 y = 3/8 There is no horizontal asymptote.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe its: No Vertical Asymptotes No Horizontal Aysmptotes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do you know? can you explain why? im just confused

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okaii, one way to find the horizontal asymptote is by finding the limit of the function as the value approaches infinity.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay i kinda see what your saying

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yah, do you know how to start of?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Find the limit as x approaches to infinity.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes @Azteck that is what i said previously, but i want @whadduptori to work out the problem so she could see how it is and learn how to work thses problems out :) Thank you :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I didnt even know you wrote back im sorry @Azteck.. but how would i do that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

start off like this: \[\lim_{x \rightarrow \infty}3x^6+\frac{ 5x^5 }{ 4 }+2x+10\]
