Find the lengths of RS and QS.
Use the \(Soh Cah Toa\) rule to help you. You are given an angle and the side opposite the angle, can you figure out how to work out the rest?
i don't understand how i suppose to find the answer
Soh Cah Toa..means: Sin=Opposite/Hypotenuse Cos=Adjacent/Hypotenuse Tan=Opposite/Adjacent
You have the angle and the length of the side opposite the angle. So you can work out either the adjacent side or the hypotenuse using \(SohCahToa\). Say we want to find QS. This forms the hypotenuse, and we have the opposite side (QR), so we use \(sin (\theta)= QR/QS\). I.e. \(sin(30)=7/QS \therefore QS = 7/sin(30) \)
By 'Opposite', 'Adjacent'..we mean the sides that are opposite or adjacent to the angle..
