here is a hard one factor 45s^2+100st+55t^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

polynomials need to factor please help?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

start with taking out 5 as a common factor \[5(9s^2 + 20st + 11t^2)\]

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

so then the factoring becomes \[5(9s + 11t)(s + t)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are there anymore steps to take after?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

doesn't look like it... you can expand it to see it gives the correct answer
