where is the organelle mitochondira needed most and why? :p
yea, tell y with ur opinion...
?
don't comment unless you're willing to help. thanks.
A mitochondrion isn't necessarily the "best organelle in a cell." There is no "best organelle" in a cell. A mitochondrion simply functions to generate ATP (Adenosine triphosphate) which is used as an "energy currency" by most cell parts in order to trigger functions that require a release of energy. However, while the mitochondria are an all important part of a cell, they are not the MOST important. A eukaryotic cell without a nucleus could not survive, a cell without cytoplasm could not survive, a cell without a plasma membrane could not survive, basically, every organelle in a cell is absolutely crucial to its survival. However, mitochondria are found in just about every eukaryotic cell there is, though they are not found in prokaryotic cells. Additional Information Mitochondria have their own circular chromosome containing DNA which can only come from the mother. This makes genetic analysis over long periods of time much easier, as there is no mixing of DNA with chiasmata during sexual reproduction.

you make no sense
MITOCHONDRIA are the organelles that provide our cells with energy. One of the first things they teach us, in bio, is that MITCHONDRIA are the POWERHOUSES of our cells. Does it make sense that cells that need a lot of energy require more mitochondria? Our liver, for instance, performs hundreds of functions. Some sources tell us that the liver carries out over 500 different functions. That's why our liver cells need a lot of mitochondria. Liver cells can have hundreds of mitochondria.
