Im pretty sure that 5x+5 = 6x+10
OpenStudy (anonymous):
No, the two are supplementary angles thus 5x + 5 + 6x + 10 = 180. Solving for x, you get x = 15. You also know that xyz the angle is equal to the angle yzw. so you get that angle yzw = 5x + 5 = 80
OpenStudy (ryan123345):
yup...
OpenStudy (anonymous):
okay, so what would be the measure of YZW?

@ryan123345 can you help me?
OpenStudy (ryan123345):
ok
OpenStudy (ryan123345):
So plain and simple
OpenStudy (anonymous):
I answered that already? It's 80...

yeah?
OpenStudy (ryan123345):
its telling u X is 6x+10
OpenStudy (ryan123345):
And Y is 5x+5
OpenStudy (ryan123345):
U are looking for z
OpenStudy (ryan123345):
They are supplementary so u can say that...

@khoala4pham yeah but we were talking about Angle WXY and angle XYZ measures not angle YZW??
OpenStudy (ryan123345):
\[6x+10+5x+5=180\]
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yes.
OpenStudy (ryan123345):
\[11x+15=180\]
OpenStudy (anonymous):
I get that whole part. But then we need to find YZW?

Yes, but by definition of isoceles trapezoid, yzw has a measure equal to that of xyz. We already know that xyz has a measure of 80 (5(75) + 5 = 80) therefore, yzw has angle measure 80, too.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
oh okay, thank you!
OpenStudy (anonymous):
5*15 + 5 ** typo.
OpenStudy (ryan123345):
Yea so u plug in x to 5x+5 and whatever u get is equal to the one u are trying to find
