what is the perimeter of the polygon formed by the points P(-4,1) Q(2,4) R(4,0) and S(-2,-3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hint, use the distance formula (multiple times), you would probably want to get: PQ + QR + RS + SP = Perimeter.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay could u do this problem 4 me btw i put an example up to learn how to do it so no one could just give me the answer i think u showing me would help. @Zelda

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you know the distance formula? \[D=\sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2 + (y_2-y_1)^2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Use that, so say in the start teat the points of P as x1,y1 and for Q as x2,y2 then do that for each of the set of coordinates.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

um what did u get for the final answer @Zelda

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First tell me what you got for the final answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got 17.5 but i think i messed up

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Zelda

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@kninja99, K i'll take a look at it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@kninja99, it should be 22.36

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i fixed it @Zelda
