Find the GCF of the following literal terms. m^7n^4p^3 and mn^12p^5

Are they being multiplied as in (m^7n^4p^3)(mn^12p^5) or is it like (m^7n^4p^3) = (mn^12p^5)??
Its just asking what the greatest common factor is of each one

To get the answer you look at each m term compared to other m terms and n terms compared to other n terms, etc. So it'd be m^7 compared to m and you'd find the GCF, m, for those. Then you'd do the n term as n^4 compared to n^12 and get n^4 as the GCF for those two. Do the same thing for p and you have your answer.
