OpenStudy (vortish):

solve and check 3x^2+3x=14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The first thing i would is subtract over 14. From there you have two options. You can complete the square and see if that makes it easier to solve or you can plug that into the quadratic equation to find the roots. In this case I might just use the quadratic equation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[(-3 \pm \sqrt{9-(-14)(3)})/6\] solve that and you get your roots

OpenStudy (anonymous):

as this is a quadratic equation so use the following quadratic formula to solve it
