If A is a subset of B, then P (A and B) =

OpenStudy (ja1):

well P = B, hmm seems right since A includes bits of B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

By definition, the "power set" of A, P(A), is the collection of all subsets of the set A. Since A is a subset of B, all elements of A belong to B, and thus all subsets of A (i.e. P(A)) belong to all subsets of B (i.e. P(B)). In other words, everything A has, B also has. Then every combination of something A has is a combination of something B has.

OpenStudy (ja1):

B = (2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) A = (3,5,7,9) P = (2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9)

OpenStudy (ja1):

Wow, big words :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B=(1,2,3,5,7,8,9) A=(1,3,5,7,9) P=(1,2,3,5,7,8,9)

OpenStudy (ja1):

Exactly so thus P = B

OpenStudy (ja1):

Lol it was confusing me
