Not that this is any sort of great question, but I was wondering why we don't just have a "Science" suuject (unless, of course we do and i don't know it :D). You can eliminate subjects like "Biology" and "Chemistry" and make them sub-categories for one big subject like Mathematics. It may just be a stupid idea but, I decided to just put it out there. But, i should like to know, is there just s science subject?

The question is balance between generality and specificity.

I, for example, think that "biology" is a large umbrella subject to which subsections such as molecular biology, classical genetics, computational biology, biochemistry, ecology, earth science (not technically a biologic science at all, but people seem fond of posting earth science questions there for some reason) and so on.

Chemistry could have organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, analytic chemistry, etc.

Physics could have quantum mechanics, particle physics, electricity, mechanics, statics, and so on.

And that by grouping all these incredibly huge, broad subjects as subsections of simply "science" would be a vast over simplification.
