Congruent triangle proof help. Would appreciate any input on this proof. Want to learn from any mistakes. Thanks! https://picasaweb.google.com/116556476041404991638/TriangleCongruenceProof?authuser=0&authkey=Gv1sRgCPHivaHY4vWXjQE&feat=directlink

@Walart1 The proof is conceptionally sound. Two things: 1) When you write <A ≅<B, you need to specify which angle A and which angle B you mean. There are 3 different angles with vertex A in the diagram, and the same number for vertex B. By <A, I think you mean <BAD and by <B, I think you mean <CBA. There should be no confusion for the reader so you can name the angles by 3 letters. Or you can add numbers on the diagram to refer to the two angles and reference them in your proof. 2) There is a segment bar missing on step 3. Everything else looks good.

Ah yes, I see what you mean. I had a hard time knowing what to do about that very issue (specifying which angle A, etc.). I wasn't sure how to do that. It makes a lot of sense to name the angles by the 3 letters. For sure it will eliminate the confusion (for myself and others). Your suggestions are very helpful. Thank you!

Glad to help. You did a great job on the proof.
