In a large bag of 100 Skittles®, each of the 5 colors (red, orange, yellow, blue, green) occurs with the same probability. You reach in and select 2 candies. Find the probability that exactly 1 of the candies is green.

omg i having that kinda problem right now i hate probability i really do

OpenStudy (anonymous):

20 out of 100

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mee to!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you sure ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (phi):

Did you learn about the binomial distribution ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk prob

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but wouldnt it reduce down keller thats pretty high

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah sorry 1/5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

phi is that right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

flutterer left /:

OpenStudy (phi):

did they give you choices ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no but i think its 18%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which is 9?50

OpenStudy (anonymous):

9/50 *

OpenStudy (phi):

If they taught the binomial distribution, I would use that. If not, figure out the probability of a green * prob of not green add to that prob of not green times prob of green (you have two ways to get 1 green: pick green then a not green or pick a not green, then a green
