What are the x-intercepts of f(x)= |2x| - 6?

Directrix (directrix):

An x-intercept is of the form (x,0). It is the coordinate of a point where the graph cuts the x-axis. To get on the x-axis, the y-coordinate must be zero. So, set y = |2x| - 6 such that y = 0. That gives |2x| - 6= 0. Add 6 to both sides. |2x| = 6 --> Your task is to solve for x.
