What are the main functions of proteins in the human body

OpenStudy (abb0t):

Proteins have a large amount of functions in the body. The main functions you learn about at a high school level is: replication of DNA & DNA repair. They can act as messengers, transporters, and also repair. If you go on past high school level biology and into biochemistry, you'll see that they play a role in catalysis, biosynthesis of macromolecules, amino acid biosynthesis, glucose, glycolysis, fatty acid biosynthesis, the list goes on.

Thanks. I completely had a brain fart...its pretty sad when my aunt is a biology professor, or was at a college and tells me about this stuff all the time and i forget about it! o.O

Biology sucks if you ask me. Lol. Best of luck though. Cheers.
