Directrix (directrix):

Tonight, I have noticed at least ten "First Question" tags attached to an Asker's query. No one welcomed the new Asker. Isn't this the job of an Ambassador?

Directrix (directrix):

I replied to a "newbie" by asking the person right off the bat to draw a diagram. Had I caught the "first question" tag when I clicked on the Asker's question, I would not have responded with a less than welcoming response. I take responsibility for my oversight of the Asker's first question status. Regardless, I share that responsibility, I think, with those who who have applied and been selected to welcome newbies. If I am incorrect, please apprise me of that. The following link leads to the "newbie" two of us met tonight: http://openstudy.com/users/directrix#/updates/5120a4c9e4b03d9dd0c54344 .

Directrix (directrix):

I read the following thread and would like to ask if this Ambassador's response to a mathematics question is representative of the thinking of the other Ambassadors. I wrote a short apology to the Asker who had to read it as a reply to the Asker's question. If you are intersted in the question and Ambassador reply, click the following link: http://openstudy.com/study#/updates/510b9fe5e4b09cf125bc1012 It would be kind, I think, if you would reply to the Asker's question and weigh in on who you think is the greatest mathematician of the last century.

OpenStudy (carniel):

Well yea I'm pretty sure an Ambassador was on at the time, but they might have been doing something. If I was on I would have greeted him :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i try to greet as many possible people as i can
