just put it in words:\[-2v+13=-7\]now solve for \(v\)

thats the problem the part confuses me @yummydum
OpenStudy (anonymous):
i mean the v part
OpenStudy (anonymous):
to "solve" for \(v\) means to isolate \(v\) at one side of the equal sign:\[-2v+13=-7\]subtract \(13\) from both sides:\[-2v=-20\]divide both sides by \(-2\):\[v=10\]
it's basic algebra.

okay thankks sooooo much @yummydum

I'm pretty good at it

@hi_im_tasha The basic principle here is that you can do anything you want, so long as you do it to both sides of the equation.
