Writing 19 Online

I am writing a paper on an ebook posted on page by page and I quoted some of the passages several times. In the citation, should I site the quotes several times in my reference page?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I wouldn't think so if they are the same quotes. But if they are different quotes just in the same paragraph I would just lump them together on the citation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The quotes are not from the same paragraph, but all are from different chapters of the same book.

"Quote, quote, quote" (LastNameOfAuthor Page). write write write write, "quote quote quote" (LastNameOfAuthor Page).

You should indicate the page number of each quote directly after you quote it, along with the author's last name. If there is any way to locate the page number that would be associated with the ebook's page, include it inside the parenthetical. "this is a quote" (Author Page#). In the work cited, (if you are required to have one) you should simply have a URL to the first page or an index containing a link to the book. Someone looking for the quotes can just flip though the book to the right page. You don't need the URL of each page in your document unless it is hard or confusing to find the pages from the URL you have in the document.
