Choose the point which is a solution to the system of inequalities: 2x – y > 7 5x – y > 2
do you know how to solve it when it's equalities? like 2x - y = 7 5x - y = 2
@wtoliver Options from which to select? Please add, if so.
Yea, I know how to solve for Y and X I'm just confused how to choose the points. And sorry for not putting them. (–2, –5) (–2, 5) (2, –5) (2, 5)

For a better draw you can use geogebra
Here is a better graphich. The region between the two lines must have the answers for the system.
@wtoliver 2x – y > 7 5x – y > 2 ----------- Test each of the points. If (–2, –5) is a solution, then it has to satisfy both inequalities.
2x – y > 7 Test Point (-2,-5) 2(-2) - (-5) > 7 ----> ? -4 + 5 > 7 -->? 1 > 7 --> No So, the point (-2,-5) is not a solution. No need to test the second inequality because the point does not satisfy the first inequality.
Next, look at the second point (-2,5). Note: y = 5 and x = -2. lst inequality to check 2x – y > 7 Point to test (-2,5) Is 2(-2) - 5 > 7 Is -4 - 5 > 7 Is -9> 7 No. Go to next point to test and contine.
